Commercial Blogging

Breakfast from the Burb. Thank youuu!

I'm blogging during commercial breaks. They're (the tv gods) are playing the third season of Project Runway episodes.
I still haven't seen the new show. I have to find it online somewhere so don't give anything away pleeease!

I've stopped waking up with the thought that the doorbell might ring and Ryan will answer it because I don't ever want to get out of bed aaand my beautiful ring will be nestled away in a little box waiting for me to put it on my finger.
It will arrive when it's ready.

Ryan started working on the wedsite again. It's prettyyyy.
I drove him a little crazy being picky and stuff but what's new?? It is coming together nicely.

Ok so on my ugly printer paper calendar I made - it says I need to choose the invitation paper or cardstock.
I've seen a lot of really nice paper for good prices but they're all in the US.
So can anyone tell me where I can find some good stuff in the UK?
I'll need to order it this week so I need some help!

Invitations

As you can see I've kind of taken over the bed since we have NO room here. I need a proper (huge) desk.
We ordered our Gocco PG 10 two days ago!! I've been reading every kind of helpful advice I can find and watching lots of videos so we don't waste any materials. I'm sure there will be a few mistakes but we don't really have the time to mess stuff up! They need to be pretty much finished by September 17th.

Design-
Wednesday we took a trip down to the library to get Ryan his card and check out some books full of pretty floral illustrations. There are lots to look at and they're giving me lots of inspiration. We like the thought of having a simple floral silhouette.
Crest-
I don't know how I had the patience to draw a little crest for them and maybe other paper things we have ..but I DID! I think it's cute and us. Ryan is doing the photoshop finishing touches. Here's the original:

and here are lots fun things we can do with it... I'm thinking like a hallmark stamp type thing or sticker for envelopes? You get the idea.
We'll think of something.

Bowling with zombies that smell like cows eating lasagna.

Haay!
I've had a good couple of days. Just got back from bowing with Ryan! I kicked his butt (of course) but he is getting better.
We also did a little zombie killing at the arcade.
We spent the weekend at his parents house. Sunday was carboot day! I really love carboot sales.
We found tons of vases and bowls for the wedding. Ohhh sweet bargains.

On Monday we stopped by his grand parents for a little chat and on the way back to Southampton we saw signs for our venue.
We didn't realise how close we were to it so we took a quick visit and fell in love with it all over again.
The doors were locked but it was such a pretty day outside. Please please please be the same exact weather next June.

No, it doesn't smell like cows. (phew)
I can't say the same for the car ride down there.

We also took a trip to the mall today to find some underthings just incase I try on some dresses at the wedding fayre his Mum is taking me to in September.
She showed me her wedding dress and let me try on her veil. I got all red and nervous/excited. I saw Ryan peeking over when I had it on, smiling.
eeeeeeeeeee

We're also looking into getting a Gocco. K, we're pretty sure we're getting one. Really exciting and hopefully worth every penny.

Anyway - Ryan's cooking up some lasagna so I'm off!

Physical!

Our first night going to the gym together. Wish us luck.
I know it's stupid but I get kinda nervous thinking about stepping into an L.A. Fitness now.
BUT ANYWAY
I have no idea what kind of gym shoes look cute or not, these fit and were like 20 bucks. They have a REAL sole! I've been wearing flats and flip flops pretty much my whole life so it's a little weird.
Ahh, reminds me of P.E. when I'd never dress down or when I did I'd just put my P.E. clothes over my regular clothes and always get caught.
Remember running the mile every week? Yeah, try running a mile in Vegas every Friday...we would pray for rain.

Sunday lovely Sunday

I had a really nice weekend.
Friday - we ate chinese food in the car, snuggled up in a duvet on the beach and watch the best fireworks show!
At home we watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and didn't cry, am I a robot or did anyone else not cry?
Saturday - shopped around for tennies for the gym and actually found some on the first go!
Sunday afternoon - we did a little beach clean up and rewarded ourselves with some icecream and dog watching.
Sunday night - met up with some friends to catch up and talked a little about the wedding plans.
Next weekend is another trip to see Ryan's parents in Somerset...I love it there!

Quick DIY: Magazine Table

I had a little crafty moment today.
Find out how to make this magazine table here.

Cook?

Most of the people that know me know I don't really know how to cook.
Since I've been in England I've tried a little more because ya know, girls are suppose to cook for their boys sometimes.
Hmm me, not so much.
I've tried but not that hard.
I only know how to make simple things that aren't that great for you anyway.
Seeing food blogs makes me want to keep trying though.

I've got a month left here so I'm kicking myself to start cookin.

We're leftoveraholics so I'd like to make meals that can be turned into something else the next day.

Here are the few meals I know I can cook without messing it up:
-Enchiladas
-Macaroni and cheese
-Chicken casserole
-Meatloaf
-Chile Rellenos
-Boring spaghetti, boring burritos, boring other easy things everyone else knows how to make too

And... it's getting hard for me to think of more which means there probably isn't much more!

So what do you suggest?

I'm wishing...

Real quick! Apparently I'm not doing such a bad job with this wedding stuff after all.
Wishpot.com has made me one of their "Wedding Experts"!

So go check out my lists and start your own. It's really neat and kind of addicting.
I'm for sure using the site for our registry when they launch it for the UK!

Thanks again Wishpotters, that little surprise got me all excited and in a better mood.

Oh where do I begin?

How about with a thank you to kexp for just now playing great music for settling me down.
Thanks.
But seriously my thoughts and feelings have been all over the place lately.
I've been trying to get things checked off of my wedding to do list but it's hard to know where to start and what to do when I've never done this and I've got one million wedding inspriation blogs throwing new, cute, pretty whatever ideas at me all the time.
They're helpful but so distracting!
I don't want a magazine wedding. I want a wedding that's US. OUR wedding.
I've said to Ryan that I think I'm going to chill out on the obsessive wedding things googling and maybe even some of my favorite blogs.

On the other hand I LOVE these ideas.
I don't want to look back and think "I wish I would have done that. hmph."
There's so much adivce out there, all these tips on saving money and a bajillion diy projects.

I think maybe I need to take more time to focus on what I want and what Ryan wants.
We have to move a little faster than normal because I'm flying back to Florida in September and certain things need to be decided by then, such as:
- invitations, save the dates ect...
                                                      - date for me to fly back to England (6 months before wedding date)
                                           - exact information about fiance visa application and registrar

I've already started looking around at invitations and prices(ew).
Seriously can people charge that much for invitations?! I can't believe it.
But I need to get them done and the trouble is... I can't get them done unless I figure out what I want!!!!

So... now that I've had another mini wedding planning breakdown.. I'm going to start practicing more yoga.
I'm going to settle myself down with books, tea (but not too much), music and walking.

Thank you to everyone for all of their thoughts, advice and tips for me!!

I will figure it out, eventually. And if I don't then we'll just get married in an empty barn with all the people we love.

That felt good to get out. Anything you'd like to vent to me about?? Go right ahead.
