I’ve been thinking up ideas for crafts to do with my Nephew & Sister-in-law at Christmas and a simple salt dough ornament is perfect for the little ones. I had a little go to see what they’re like and wanted to experiment with my wooden printing blocks. I think they turned out kinda pretty but with the little ones I think stamps, hand prints, glitter, and paints may be more fun for them! I also have these William Sonoma cookie cutters that we’ll be able to customise with – so cute.
For the dough:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup table salt
1/2 cup warm water
If your dough gets dry just add a few drops of olive oil and mix again. I used a straw to make the ribbon holes.
Bake at 200F/90ishC for 4-6 hours or leave in overnight. Yeah, takes ages.
